6-Week Basic II Pottery Course
Lessons are taught in small groups of up to 5 people, with plenty of personal guidance.
Starts: Friday morning, April 10th, 10:00 AM–12:30 PM
This 6-week course is for potters who already have some experience using an electric potter's wheel.
In Basic II, you'll be challenged to further develop your skills and refine your technique. You can already perform the basic steps well, but want more depth in your technique.
You'll want to improve your technique, improve your drawing, and use more clay.
And here, as in Basic I, the emphasis is not so much on producing as much as possible, but on the fun, learning, and playing with clay. Shaping a lump of clay in your hands, transforming it into a vase or a plate is magical!
And of course, as the finishing touch, the last lesson focuses on glazing.
The pieces are fired at stoneware temperatures and are therefore waterproof and dishwasher-safe. Each person can take home a maximum of 6 finished pieces.
Starts: Friday morning, April 10th, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, excluding cleanup.
Cleaning your wheel will not detract from your lesson time.
Unfortunately, missed lessons cannot be made up, but you can use the Open Studio instead.
After the Basic Course II, it is also possible to take an intensive course and/or practice in the Open Studio to further deepen your knowledge of ceramics.
Instructor: Barbara Jans

And…. "You can't grow without making a mess."
