THROWING COURSE
Have you always wanted to work on a potter's wheel and learn how to throw properly? Then take this beginner's pottery course!
This beginner's course focuses on the basic techniques for throwing on an electric potter's wheel: kneading clay, centering, pulling up, shaping, and finishing.
In six lessons, we focus on these different techniques and the pottery process.
The most important thing in this course is practice; becoming skilled in the process.
It is not about producing as much as possible, because the basics must be solid before you can move on.
We will select your best pieces to decorate with engobes.
They will then be bisque fired, coated with a transparent glaze, and fired again.
During the course, we will use white stoneware clay. Your pieces will be fired at stoneware temperature, making them dishwasher safe.
Each person can take home a maximum of 6 finished pieces.
