Intensive Pottery Throwing Weekend June 6, 7, and 13, 2026

Want to improve your throwing technique in a short time?

Then join this intensive throwing course!

Immerse yourself in this branch of ceramics in a relaxed atmosphere. Over two full days, we'll delve into the following techniques of throwing on the potter's wheel.

* Creating a vase from a cylindrical shape
* Throwing on a board, so your work doesn't deform when you remove it from the wheel
* Throwing a plate on a board
* Developing skills and refining your technique.

The final lesson focuses on glazing.

After your piece is biscuit fired, it's time for glazing.You can choose from a variety of beautiful glazes that are fired at stoneware temperatures (1220°C), making them waterproof and dishwasher-safe. Each person can choose up to six of their best pieces to take home.
This weekend is intended for students who already have somethrowing experience, or have previously taken a basic course.
Classes are taught in small groups of a maximum of 5 people.
This allows for plenty of personal guidance.

So bring your own towel and apron to keep your clothes clean and to ensure even more fun with your ceramics.
After this course, you can work independently in the Open Studio and delve deeper into the art of ceramics.
